Some guests want a massage, some want their skin resurfaced, and a steady minority wants both without booking twice. The VIP treatment is that appointment: a medium-pressure Swedish massage over the neck, shoulders and back, followed within the same session by a full-body sea salt scrub. It comes in exactly one format, 120 minutes for AED 1,300, because doing both halves properly takes two hours and we decline to sell you half of either. Available daily from 10 AM to 5 AM at U Spa in Al Barsha.

Why this order and no other

Scrubbing cold skin is mere friction; the whole design of the VIP is sequencing. The Swedish massage opens the session with long strokes and kneading at medium pressure, and by the end of it circulation is up, the skin is warm and receptive, and the muscles have withdrawn their objections to the week. The sea salt scrub then works over exactly that prepared surface. Salt strips the dull outer layer more decisively than sugar or fruit acids manage, and the clean it leaves behind survives several showers. The massage opens the door; the scrub walks through it. You leave processed twice over: muscles loosened, skin renewed.

The guest it was built for

People with an event ahead in which posture and skin will both be photographed. People overdue on both counts who want a single appointment to clear the backlog. People whose honest answer to "massage or scrub?" is simply yes. Note which direction this upgrade points: the VIP adds stages, not staff. If more hands is your idea of luxury, look at the four hands massage and, beyond it, the six hands. And anyone who wants the scrub done the traditional steam-room way, with black soap and the kessa glove, wants the Moroccan bath.

FAQ

What exactly does the VIP treatment include?
One continuous two-hour session: a medium-pressure Swedish massage first, then a full-body sea salt scrub. Nothing needs to be booked separately.

What is the price of the VIP treatment?
AED 1,300 for the 120-minute session, VAT already included.

Can I get a shorter version?
No, and deliberately so. An hour cannot hold a real massage plus a real scrub; the two-hour format exists so neither half becomes a token gesture.

Is a sea salt scrub too harsh for sensitive skin?
It is thorough but fully adjustable, and irritated or sunburnt areas are skipped altogether. Mention sensitive skin when booking and the therapist calibrates pressure and grain.

How does the VIP compare with the Moroccan bath?
Same destination, different vehicles. The VIP works dry: massage, then salt. The bath works wet: steam, black soap, kessa glove. Plenty of regulars alternate between the two.
